I watched the first couple of seasons but found that the parts that didn't match the books annoyed me and some of the characters didn't match the ones in my head and I just couldn't do it. I guess I didn't want the series to ruin the books for me, if that makes sense I do think it is well done though. I agree some of it is hard to watch. This is the only book series she has written as far as I know. The plaid identified the clan provided warmth and rain protection and for a time was criminal to have in possession. I don't know why, but I don't connect with the daughter so much, but I like the relationship between Jamie and Claire. I may pick it back up some other time though. Yeah, the first few seasons had some steamy stuff, and also some violence that was tough to watch! My husband dropped out watching though after they got to the US, he preferred the Scottish and French parts. So I have to watch alone and can’t cope with certain episodes at certain times. I take a break and go back to it.
