Oh I forgot to add by changing the flares to straight legs/ more like a skinny I did't need to lengthen or shorten the length is perfect if that makes sense.
I should have taken a before picture.

Carter the only reason I'm lengthening is because the fabric weight will allow for no crease. Otherwise they would be turning into ankle pants.

Aside from the jeans all are work clothes and for work clothes.

I expect perfect fit and will settle for no less. In my position people have a very specific ideas of the look I should portray so clothing and fit is crucial.

PLP (Pant Length Police) reporting for duty. Great to hear that you're adjusting those hems, Frannie. It's sweet music to my ears.

Have you had success with lengthening pants? Years ago I had that done and never got the old crease out. I have a stack of slacks that I was planning to shorten to ankle length rather than lengthen because of my memories of the phantom crease. I'd love to be able to keep a couple of them full length.

Yes, that Angie has a lot to answer for, Frannie!

My goodness, you have a lot of alterations there, but you may as well get it all over in one fell swoop, and it's all in the cause of looking good.
Hope it works out well.

Thought I would post as I'm on my way to the tailor with six pieces to be altered. Alterations to be done :

1. Lengthen a pair of pants - have the hem to do ( all Angie's fault:) )
2. Make a pair of flares straight because no hem to lengthen ( Angie's fault again)
I have become obsessed with PPL

3. shorten a tunic into a top
4. Add a bac vent to a jacket to have it lay correctly
5. Hem and take in waist on jeans
6. Let out side seam at hip on jeans and take in waist

Normally I don't have this many alterations at one time but I was tired of driving over an hour round trip so 2 hours for any tailored piece to my old tailor.
