Nice haircut, blonde too? jk, lol
Maya, you know your hair best, and if a razor touches your hair and you end up with split ends, I think texturizing can be done with texturizing scissors, I use them on my clients all the time with very much same result as when I use the razor.
You are growing your hair longer, right? So you need layers put in with little texterizing to remove some bulk and VOILA!

Maya, I'm obviously not a hairstylist & haven't had this cut myself, but I'm constantly amused that you and I have the same photos of cute, medium-short crops in our "hair files." We must browse the same sites/search engines for hair inspiration.

I recently went from a long layered haircut to a short/medium layered bob - I am not sure how is it called but the sides are longer than the back. I also have very fine hair and cannot have it cut with a razor. I am pretty happy with the texture and movement that my stylist was able to create by using only scissors. Once more, there must be a name to this technique, but basically what she did was to pull strands of hair up by the ends and make 1/2 inch "indentations" at a 45 degree angle.
So, I look forward to seeing pictures of you, looking gorgeous in your new hairdo!

OMG..totally FAB for you!!!!

They can get by with just finishing with a razor, but as you can see the ends are *wispy like* If you are absolutely against any razor...and that is OK:) Just have them texturize the ends after the cut

I sent this very photo to debbieK I love this cut and it works very well on most women with you hair type(and mine)!!

I have been procrastinating on getting a haircut long enough. I can't take it anymore! I booked my appointment for Saturday. Thinking of taking in this visual because I like the layering. Can this cut be done without a razor? I Don't mind razor cuts, but I'd rather avoid them while I'm growing my hair out as they can make the ends of my hair a little tattered. Also, will it work on my fine hair or is it too much layering?
