My navy cableknit tights are a little step up from the plain fleece-lined ones I nearly bought instead. I think they enjoy costarring with my red boots, against the backdrop of the navy sweater dress. Sometimes the red puffer or tweedish jardigen make guest appearances with that ensemble too. I’m trying to get in the habit of asking if whatever I’m getting c/should be “more” somehow. But I’m not always consistent—see black pants. I wish I’d gone for bootcuts instead. To be honest, when I started thinking of it this way (except for the Florida fall capsule) I was already over here, away from most of my stuff, so I’ll have to check how accurate my memory is and work out how many I have of everything once it all arrives, then go from there. </p> <p>Sun Tiger, your finds will be fun to see, I can tell. You have very different styles, but one thing you and Bijou both do that I want to do too is get cool individual pieces that work well together, instead of a bunch of background singers and one star. And you and Anchie both make great use of color, which is another thing I love. I’m trying to transition to that, instead of always defaulting to the basic model. When I started working on them I was inspired by Vivienne Files 4x4 wardrobes, but at the end I did not use her template and developed my own. I did some calculations at the beginning for what would be good numbers for me for each category and I came up with following numbers for each capsule - 3 toppers, 7 tops, 5 bottoms, 4 pairs of shoes, 2 handbags, 2 scarves, 1 belt, 1 dress and 1-2 outerwear depending on season. But this is still work in progress and I may need to adjust the numbers in the future. I also still have some wardrobe holes, but I don’t want to create new capsules, rather fill those holes within existing capsules.
