Thankfully video was kinder than the photo lighting.&nbsp;</p> <p>Some great strategies for how to wear black when it's not your best color, though: </p> <ul> <li>show lots of upper body skin</li> <li>soften with tulle / mesh / frothy textured elements</li> <li>put light / bright embellishments up top</li> <li>use contrasting insets</li> </ul> <p>ps I wish the LA fashion-related pro who used to tweak celeb red carpet fashion photos to better suit each star's personal color / share when they got it right was still doing that.
