You can take in the side seams from below the armhole down to the hem. Note that in order to do so, you'll have to let down the hem for several inches at each side, then restitch it. The re-stitching may show, because once you stitch through leather or faux leather, the hole is permanent. Even if you sew right over the original stitching, it's very unlikely you will hit every single hole the same with the sewing machine. Not dreadful but I suspect if I wore it all day I'd be dying to take it off.</p> <p>The larger is better sized for me in those openings, but needs a tailoring nip in at the sides.</p> <p>Our tailors: will a nip tuck of the side seams render the armholes tighter so that I'm right back where I started? What do you think? </p>
