Thanks ladies - I do love the cape/scarf…even though if I could find a suitable piece of silk, I could make myself one with about…2 seams and 2 hems.

Sharan: That's a really interesting idea, but I think I am missing the skills/equipment. If I put the right sides together and created a french seam it would be too bulky and I'm afraid if I cut the seam and tried to sew it together again, my machine would chew up the edge. If it was seamed in the same way I seam my handknits, it would be easy!

Glory: Ok, you've enabled me. The XS came back into stock just as I was reading the responses and it is on order now.

Suz: Ooh the cape would be beautifully dramatic with an LBD. Great idea!

Angie: The Leith dress came in today and didn't work for me - way too tight in the arms and too voluminous in the body. I did like the color though, so may consider keeping both cardigans once the olive comes in.

That Ted Baker cape is a stunning piece! How ingenious. It would make a great topper for the perfect LBD in temperate weather. I can easily see it working in your wardrobe, Sylvie.

I also love the plum jeans and hope your size comes in.

I can see why you are on the fence about the other items. They sound potentially problematic.

I think your keeps are terrific. For what its worth I think that pleone might be worth stalking. I really like the flow and the colours. Great choices!

I like your keeps! And hold on there--a scarf and cape in one? I didn't notice that. Great idea.
It sounds good to keep the yellow cardi if it's a hard to find color. You might be able to fix the seams in some creative way (if it were me, I might do that, anyway--I'd consider re-sewing the seam, just putting the right sides together and stitching so closely to the previous seam that any little pucker at the top of the sleeve could be finessed with a few hand-stitches).
I saw that plaid Vince blouse in the store and thought it was pretty, but also not practical for me; I wear sleeveless blouses at most one day per year. :)

NAS-undecided:

1&2) Yellow and red cardigans. The inside out seam is driving me a little crazy. It's really hard to find a yellow cardigan and much easier to find red, so I am leaning towards keeping the yellow and returning the red.

3) Vince top. I love the color and fabric but it is pricey/impractical for my lifestyle. It works with a leather jacket, but not so much with a cardigan/casual toppers. It requires a second base cami because the neckline is deep and the top is sort of futzy and won't stay in one place.

4) Pleione top. I started with a M and need to go down to an XS on this one, which is now out of stock. Not sure I like it enough to stalk it.

5&6) Leith olive cardigan and dress. Copycatting Angie's client on this one. Waiting for it to arrive so I can see in person. If I like the color, then I'll need to figure out if I want two of the same cardigan or if I need to pick one or the other.

I hereby admit that I'm not going to get around to photographing these on me. Here are my NAS keeps. (Next message down will be the NAS undecided)

1&2) Halogen U-neck tees. Basic, inexpensive, will be purged in a year, and already in weekly rotation. I limited myself to a solid purple one and the striped black one to avoid my old problem of wearing the same cut/color every day.

3) Zella Capris for working out. Another basic for me.

4) Ted Baker Silk cape. I was sold on this one when I saw that it could be worn as both a scarf and a cape. I get a lot of mileage out of pairing multicolor scarves with solid colored tops/bottoms and I love silk, so this is an easy splurge.

5) Paige Skinny Jeans in plum. I'm ready to add plum/maroon back into my wardrobe after a multi-year hiatus and these jeans will be work appropriate with black/grey/neutral tops. I do need to size up so I'm holding onto the smaller pair, waiting for the larger size to pop back in stock. I tried the NYDJ from the Top Picks and they were *awful* on me.

6) Leith cardigan. I wouldn't have looked twice at this without Angie's recommendation but I do need to start varying my cardigan silhouette again and this is perfect for days when I feel like drama/wearing a blanket.
