I got some birthday money and went to spend it the other day, but I ended up buying more than what I could afford with the birthday money. Some of it will get returned, especially since I wasn't able to try on a couple of pieces in my size, so I will try to make things "even out." </p> <p>I have a bad habit of returning so I can shop more. I justify the shopping because it's not extra money, but the danger is that I either spend more money or end up wanting more things. I think that after this final round of returns from July/August shopping, I will stay away from stores for at least 2 months. I really shouldn't shop for the rest of the year, but to say 4+ months seems overwhelming to me. Two months seems much more manageable. </p> <p>I have a lot of new items which I haven't even worn, so I think I should focus on creating outfits for those items instead of adding more to my closet. My closet, which had been much more manageable for a while, is now feeling overloaded. I wish I had been doing Angie's "one in, one out" policy. I need to clear some space and then make a firm rule to always remove an item when I buy something new.
