I am struggling with SYB. I am once again one month ahead of myself - oops! I bought a TYR swimsuit for laps and the eggplant Fossil crossbody bag. Compression socks, a $5 H&M red wrap shirt, and a bra in hopefully the proper size rounded out the last of April's budget money.
I am sure part of my trouble is being stranded in the house with not much to do, nowhere to go, and no way to get there!! It's very easy to online shop under those circumstances.
That's my story and I'm sticking to it!! But seriously, once again half of my purchases are more gear/necessity than just shopping for fashion sake.
I still aim to keep at my $125/mo budget throughout the end of the year, even though I'm starting out behind the 8 ball. I don't see myself buying much for summer because I have a lot already and I plan on this being my last FL summer. The season is so much shorter in Tahoe - I have more than I'll ever need.
So I am once again SYC, instead of SYB, until the end of April

Still in with a few slips...(I was totally SYC) but I've only worn what was in my closet since SYC started so I'm counting it as a success! I've learned a lot and only have one more weekend to go! It was tougher than I thought it would be but very revealing!

I'm totally out of SYC. Too many good promotions to let them pass by.

Well I am out of SYC. The AT skirt was too good to resist and then I got side tracked by a flared pair of Hudson jeans and I like the boho look.

Overall, although I never was able to stop shopping, I've cut back on how often tremendously, and also become much more selective on what comes home with me. And what I keep. I return far more than I ever used to. If it doesn't work, back it goes.

I've also started remixing a lot more, and learned I have far too many items with far too little remixing abilities. Too many colors, and too many categories for my clothes. Future items need to remix in more than one outfit more often. And colors need to start sticking to one palette, to make remixing easier. I also learned to start TRYING to remix more of my clothes. Some outfits you like and wear one way and that's fine, but every outfit, can't be like this for me, I have 4 seasons, and having 4 wardrobes, plus "work" or "weekend" only clothing is too much!

How's it going?
I was excited to have some purchases in my budget this week! I have two old brass keys that I have been wanting to make into necklaces for some time, and I finally found chains to do that at the fabric store. I also found a really great pair of pants on the clearance rack at Kohl's, and also a pair of shoes. These are two items that I hardly ever even try on because I have so many fit issues, but I think that both are going to work out for me. Plus, I used a coupon on top of the sale prices, and earned Kohl's Cash to go back and try and find that denim dress that everyone is loving.
I also found a couple of tank tops for the gym on super sale at Sears.
I know that it sounds bad because I bought so much this week, but it's actually very good. I am sizing down and am in desperate need of things, and hahven't been able to find anything the last few times I looked.
