Thanks everyone for supporting me. For awhile, I thought we weren't going to that out of state wedding in March, but per DH we may be going after all. So I am relieved that I have the silver shoes which I was able to buy for 30% off. As for the Docs -- which were an impulse purchase -- I have warn them a number of times but am still trying to figure out the combo of insoles which will make them perfect. I am pretty close, but it actually makes a difference how thick my socks are that day. They will more likely split wears with my black studded combat booties than my snake patterned ones which I wear with light colored bottoms or possibly later with bare legs.</p> <p>Confession: I still have my Nordstrom Wish List. My plan is to think long and hard about each and every item, and delete anything that wouldn't contribute much to my wardrobe. If it sells out, it sells out. And if it is marked down, I will consider it again. I have not been overly tempted except for this bodysuit I saw on some manikins when I went to pick up some socks for DH. I loved the colors. I don't like to wear all solids, keeping in mind Angie's Color-Pattern-Texture-Shine, and lace-up footwear works best for me. In semi-defense, my pewter combat boots have started to peel, but I can't bear to part with them since I've hardly worn them but I will probably have to do so at the end of the season if even a casual observer can tell they are peeling. So, semi one in, one out.</p> <p>I really did need a pair of dress shoes for the two or three weddings I will be attending. And I had to admit that my Topshop silver pumps will always hurt me over my bunion, and my oh so comfortable Sole Society pumps are really trashed and I should be embarrassed to wear them. So I got the silver Naturalizers and don't feel very guilty about the purchase.</p> <p>I think I do better with cutting back in a big way and being more mindful than completely eliminating shopping. </p>
