I came across the photos a day or two ago and went "Whoa! Yeah -- that dress WAS too short!" Especially love the jacket in 4--it fits you very well and looks very current. I think I would prefer to see the red fluffy cardigan with blue denim and maybe some brown boots, to sort of dress it down a bit. I think the print dress is just too summery to wear with all of the black. It just looks discordant to my eyes. I think I would wear it with a denim jacket and some light-colored boots, or some metallic sandals. It looks the best in #2 and 4 because you have added something not balck into the mix. If you add chunky pearls and change black boots for some other color in ##1 and 3 I think they will look much better.<br /> It seems as a nice dress in ##5-8 but for me it has too summery feel: maybe because all these bold colors are on the white background? Have you tried the olive jacket in #7 with dress #1? How about the red cardi in #2 with the print dress? I think I'd like to see nude fishnets or bare legs with the print dress made by your friend, or maybe a grey boot. All the black with it seems too heavy.
