We are all doing it for different reasons. </p> <p>In my mind I'm not buying anything new (or used) for 3 months for several reasons. One is to see where (if any) holes exist in my wardrobe and then decide if I want to fill them at the end of month 3. Two is to cut out the endless shopping cycle I've gotten into in the last year since I've lost weight. I was actually *bored* on Saturday because that's what I usually do, go shopping. I'm thinking of volunteering my Saturdays instead now, I need something productive to do with them.</p> <p>Three is just to see if I *can* do it. I like a challenge and a 3 month SYC seemed like a good one!</p> <p>So for my reasons I would have to pass up anything that came up even at a fabulous sale! Sounds like the decision was made for you. I think for me SYC is more about not finding excuses to justify new stuff I've just seen. I've been quite impressed with the quality of Carissa's shirts (and have worn both of my other Carissa blouses this week) and really was hoping to scoop up this color, but didn't count on it being discontinued. Sales and discounts at Carissa Rose are not very frequent so this is kind of a big deal.</p> <p>So... SYCers, what's the verdict? Am I justified in cheating just once, or is this a very slippery slope? I haven't purchased anything yet.<br /> (Hey, at least I'm being honest.) </p>
