I'm with you on liking the thicker/slouchier look of socks underneath pants. The first (1-2) was my going-to-vote outfit, and the second (3) just a schlubby run-around-doing-chores outfit. Both feature tights from my somewhat bottomless stocking stash, as Angie has challenged me to wear them! Ribbed grey ones under the dress, and black cabled ones under the wide-legs. I think I prefer my knee-high socks under trousers (my feet stay warmer and my legs don't overheat), but I thought I'd experiment. </p> <p>Pretty happy with my components and options for this time of year, so sticking with what I have is not hard yet. But I'd definitely like to add a few warmer tones at some point this winter. I'll try to make a point next week to wear to wear my handful of warmer/earth toned things in combination with cooler items... </p>
