I think that all specs look different when you try them on with just the ordinary glass in them rather than your proper prescription, and also maybe with a price sticker on. They are so similar to the “walking sandals” they replaced, but somehow my toes feel mildly squashed. These were not the ones you all preferred before. These however ended up costing I think $769 rather than the around $1300 for the titanium ones. So a bit more than half the price, and I felt they were more similar to other long ago pairs I had liked best.<br /> Glad you like them.<br /> Cardiff girl, I didn’t get around to asking DS because I wondered if he even notices what his mother looks like. He has made no comment at all on the new specs. I think not on his radar at all. (I know how they scratch despite our best efforts, over time. Mr. Suz was amazed when he picked up his latest prescription!)</p> <p>That is a shame about the black sandals. I have found that the angle strap can be a problem -- and it frustrates me because I love the look -- I think it visually extends the legline. But my own experiments with similar styles went one of two ways. With one pair, the strap just didn't hold my foot in, so I was always cramping my toes to keep the sandal on. Ugh. With the other pair, it was snug (despite elastic for stretch) and felt too tight over the bony top portion of the foot! &nbsp;I guess my instep or arch were not the right shape. Oh well. Not sure if you will all be happy. However I am happy and that is most important! These are also the first choice of my DH, DD1 and DD2. DS was not asked!<br /> Pic 1: last Thursday SYC, 1st wear this year of 2019 Verge olive/gold top. 2010 black pants only 18th wear, black sandals from Noosa Australia 2017, 13th wear ( bit plain and not as comfy as hoped, so not worn more).<br /> Pic 2: new specs picked up that day and new haircut<br /> Pic 3: today. 2018 red print top, 23rd wear. Pale green cuffed 2012 pants, 53rd wear. Red crochet flats 2015, 24th wear.<br /> Pic 4: specs today with dangly earrings. </p>
