The gold stripe will be really versatile for you.&nbsp; </p> https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/topic/syc---last-10-days#post-2096245 Fri, 31 Jan 2020 17:02:08 +0000 Carla 2096245@https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/ <p>I’ll start with a disclaimer! &nbsp;I’m not in ‘no buy’ mode. &nbsp;Past Januarys and Februarys just naturally tended to be ‘no buy’ months after the winter season shop in October/November, followed by the abundant richness of the holiday season. &nbsp;However, the SYC was an opportunity to set myself a challenge of PURPOSEFULLY going through my closet and trying to give equal opportunity to all my clothes - especially my 25 different tops! &nbsp;</p> <p> <div><br /></div><div>During the month, I wore 6/8 pants, and 11/25 tops. &nbsp;I noticed I was wearing sweaters and t-shirts during the first 2/3 of the month, so I made an effort to wear button downs during the later part. &nbsp;I wore a red plaid flannel and a butterscotch and black flannel. &nbsp;I also made an effort to rotate through my outerwear and accessories (gloves, hats). &nbsp;The blue maxi puffer saw wear almost every cold morning for the gym run. &nbsp;When the temps rose, the red puffer or black peacoat was my choice. &nbsp;I wore my 10 yo coat once. &nbsp;It’s starting to show wear (shiny where the pile is wearing) but since it is my only ‘long coat’ for dresses and skirts, I’m saving it for special duty.</div><div><br /></div><div>Counting ‘wears’ was an additional challenge, with interesting results. &nbsp;On average, I wore each top 2-3 times before it went into the wash. One top got 1 wear (food spillage) and another got 5, but 8 saw 2-3 wears before hitting the laundry basket. &nbsp;Pants get more wears before they require laundering. &nbsp;</div><div><br /></div><div>Early in the month I bought a rash-guard for wear during an upcoming beach holiday, and this week I added 2 new striped t shirts. &nbsp;The first was a HEWI (yellow and white striped) with bateau neck and my favourite 3/4 sleeve. &nbsp;The second was, well, BOGO on the tops and - red! &nbsp;Being solidly on team wear, I wore the red one yesterday - and today!</p> <p>*I did one in/one out - retiring a boxy men’s style t-shirt and a mariner sweater with a food stain I couldn’t remove - keeping my count for tops at 25. &nbsp;Both retired tops are going to be recycled into a rag rug project. Did you know it takes 20-25 t-shirts - body and sleeves, to make a 3x4 rag rug?</p> <p> </div> </p>
