I'd look for something with a better fit. In my experience even the tiniest bit of bagging or sag in a swimsuit gets amplified 10 fold when wet.

That's a VERY pretty print and I think boy shorts would be very nice with them. Navy, maybe?

I love Fruitful's idea of an added bikini top under it, though --- the possibility of sag *does* worry me a little, and this way you'd look twice as fashionable with no room for wardrobe malfunctions!

Sounds like an amazing summer! We're still formulating plans here! I'm a teacher (college) with elementary kids -- so we live in semesters! I'm sure you understand. It's a good idea to line up your wardrobe while there's good selection in the stores!

Looks great, Con-Con. I like the cool retro look and the playfulness of the print. I think boy shorts would be great with this top. Do you have spring break plans, or are you planning ahead for summer?

Hi Con Con, that is such a sweet tankini! Boy-shorts would be perfect.

I think you will look very cute in this.

If you'd like a more supportive fit around the bust, you could either 1) play with adjusting the ties or 2) wear a plain, supportive bikini top underneath (I actually do this tankini trick with a very plain solid t-shirt bra and I swear nobody has noticed - as long as it's a good colour like black it will just look like a bikini).

You're 14 aren't you? I'm not sure everyone realises and I hope they read my reply and keep their comments as body positive and illustrative as I would want to be towards any 14 year old who asked my opinion.

Hi Con Con,
I think that's a nice colour and print for you but I'm not loving the fit- particularly around the bust area. I do think that style of tankini top would look cute with boy-short bottoms. :)

Edit: To clarify, it looks to me like the bust area is likely going to sag down, especially if it got wet. This has to do with the type of top it is- in my experience the strings don't hold up that kind of top all that well especially if (as it appears) there isn't any built-in support.

Tops constructed more like these two (random internet examples) could be good alternatives that would avoid that risk:

I swear I don't look that fat in it
For bottoms I'm aiming for some boy-shorts
