I would buy the button one that you feel you need, but I would also seriously consider the other one if you think you will love it for a long time and not be sad in a year if you had not bought it. I think that’s really why I bought my new jacket, I fell in love with it and didn’t want to let it go. And it wasn’t crazy expensive or something that I didn’t expect to wear much. I bought two vests last winter and enjoy both of them. I did find that it was hard to get the size right - sometimes I want a looser fit, and sometimes something more tailored.
