But the dress below which looks black is eggplant IRL, and the berry striped one has eggplant stripes. And I really like eggplant for tights -- again, more interesting than navy, but not-quite-black. I also like the idea of having one Christmas-colored dress to make holiday party outfits with (if holiday parties are ever a thing again!).&nbsp;</p> <p>Joy -- you might be right! I am certainly entertaining the possibility of duplication if it's as nice in person as it is online.</p> <p>Unfrumped -- I know exactly what you mean about trying to figure out colours online. For some years I bought a lot of burgundy type items but many of them are much darker than is best on me now.<br />Sooo--that's why it can't just be, green or burgundy or eggplant.&nbsp;<br />Which is why online decisions are so difficult! In a store, it could be immediately obvious.<br />Now, perfect colors for me are more relevant for the more common items--tops and sweaters that tend to be pretty available from lots of makers--or the different colorways offered in one item, as your dress.-. A different&nbsp; issue is, the actual item, insofar as some items are HEWI-type in terms of fit and fabric and might be outfit-makers because of that, so, whilst one would not buy a "bad" color, one might buy a pretty-good color (as when something other than black appears)&nbsp; knowing from experience that there will not be many options. I’ll keep the one that fits better, or if I really end up loving the other color so much I’d regret not keeping, I’ll reorder.</p> <p>I really could see myself wearing all four of these, so it’s a very tough decision. Sometimes heathers look much better in person than they do online (and I generally wear them well), so I really want to give the green a fair shake. But, I’ve also had to say goodbye to a couple of burgundy sweaters over the past few years, so the burgundy would be a welcome addition. </p> <p>Final purchase of 2020, most likely, so fingers crossed it works out!
