I have some handwash sweaters, and I always make sure I wear some kind of undershirt (WinterSilks or Cuddl Duds) beneath them so that I can wear them multiple times without having to wash. The WinterSilks are 100% silk and are extremely thin, so if you don't want anything bulky, they will work. Will outfit simplicity will be among your 2014 style goals? </p> https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/topic/swapping-show-pieces-for-basics#post-1107243 Sat, 07 Dec 2013 20:24:39 +0000 ironkurtin 1107243@https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/ <p>Along with my color refinement (see me earlier posts, if you like) I am also actively shedding items that are just TOO showpony.&nbsp; I love really interesting knits, but I haven't reached for the very delicate ones recently because of the underlayer issue - if I wear tanks under, I run the risk of being too cold, PLUS that means my armpits are in contact with the sweater and that means a sweater wash - both to keep away bugs that love sweat and perfume and to keep it fresh.&nbsp; Too hard!&nbsp; Time to say goodbye.&nbsp; Think I will focus on fit for now and leave the high-maintenance things for someone else to love. </p>
