Thanks all! Lyn,CB, I appreciate the suggestion of trying it outside How many hours would it need, do you think? I probably should mention it, but I don't want to go back there, ever.... Donna, great tip about keeping out of the sunlight...thanks. Betti, I never would've thought of that! I've never used any of those products before....Parsley, thanks for the Dryel tip! Have you used that particular one at all? I really appreciate the gladness the stains came out- I just love that shirt... now to try the fab ideas here so it quits reeking!

I'm betting a good airing out will do the trick. If not, a few minutes with some Dryel should do it. I'm so happy for you that the stains came out!

If hanging it outside doesn't work you could try an at-home dry cleaning product for your dryer.

Yes, hang it out in the shade. And mention it to the drycleaner next time you go in. They might do something for you even though it's been a while. Glad the stains are gone!

But hang in the shade so it doesn't get sun bleached!

Can you hang it outside in the fresh air where there is a breeze?

I had written about my attempt to salvage my nearly ruined 'dry clean only' shirt I had gotten water stains on and brought to the dry cleaners... got it back, and luckily the stains are *gone* but the shirt has gotten a nasty, swampy smell :( I cant bring it back in (been too long) and I didn't notice it when I picked it up, unfortunately, but when I tried to wear it, it was VERY apparent! I don't want the odor spreading to my other clothes, and I'm reluctant to spray it with febreeze, because of the dco tag Any suggestions?
