Yep. The floral skirt is a return for me too. I can see that someone with a different shape would really wear this well. I'm seeking a more casual vibe than this too.

Honestly I am very glad that so many things didn't work because I don't want to add a huge number of pieces to my wardrobe. I love fall and winter clothes but I don't need a whole lot so I want to be very discerning. I have learned that how I feel in something- which definitely includes the feel of the fabric- is key to enjoying it and being excited to wear it. None of these pieces did that for me. While I like a certain amount of new pieces each season, and a few less expensive things can work really well, I am doing better at choosing quality over quantity. And my more successful pieces from NAS seem to be the better brands so getting those at good prices - with a few lower priced lucky finds to help balance the budget- seems to give me the best value from this sale.

I appreciate your comments and I hope the reviews were helpful.

I considered the Caslon sweater, but decided against it. Especially as it looks too short in the front for me. I did order the floral skirt, and it is arriving today. I've recently bought and returned two tube skirts, so my expectations are very low on the success of that one.

Looking forward to seeing the wins. I really enjoyed hearing your reasoning here.

It's good you're being picky, and thanks for the fabric info on these items. I was considering that floral skirt, but if it feels cheapo, I don't want it. That's my only hang-up with online shopping, you can't feel the fabrics, and that's a big factor in what I decide to keep.

Good luck with the next batch!

I ordered the smallest two sizes on that Topshop red plaid shirt to maybe give it some shape, but they won't arrive until Monday. I'm not giving them high hopes either. I think if too many things I ordered look too good, I'll be in REAL trouble!!! Most stuff I ordered in two sizes so that takes care of maybe 40%. . .

The first couple orders have arrived and I did the big try on, with no shower or make up so things had to be really good to overcome that!

First the items that were easy no's:
Halogen drape front jacket in navy/black pattern. I liked the idea of the color better than I liked the jacket; it was ok but not special.

The zip pencil skirt was quickly eliminated because I didn't like the feel of the fabric at all.

The Gentle Souls sneakers were a bust for me. A bit too narrow in the toes for my widish foot yet big around the ankle. And I want something a bit more polished as that will be more versatile.

The plaid shirt was a bit of a wildcard and confirmed why I don't wear plaid or many button front shirts! It was ok but too shapeless.

The Caslon sweater seemed like a fun casual piece and the 'bramble' color looked interesting. It's very lightweight which is nice for our fall but the flecks made it look a bit cheap to me.

I really wanted to like the floral skirt as it fit well (with hemming) and i like patterned skirts. But again I wasn't thrilled with the feel of the fabric.

I ordered 2 sizes in the Emerson jeans and they were still too big. But trying them reminded me of why I stopped wearing BF jeans so a good lesson!

There are definitely some potential keepers too but I will post those separately.
