Here is another option that I found at my regional department store after I had a breast/underarm biopsy and couldn't get my arm/shoulder through a traditional bra (the vendor website doesn't seem to be compatible with the Finds bookmarklet):

Jockey zip front sports bra

What I liked about this bra is that it has a hook in front that holds the bra together so it is easy to zip over it. I'm a 32D and took a size small. I continue to use this bra frequently. It also has removable pad inserts.

Thank you all. I ended up ordering the one Janet recommended and picked up this Soma Enbliss one. I am also going to look for a post-surgery one in my size.

I quite like the Soma Embraceable bralettes. The wide under breast band gives it a lot of support for my chest (34E). it is super soft. I wear it as loungewear. The Enbliss also looks great but I haven’t tried it.

Sending you healing thoughts. Have you looked at any medical post surgery bras? I appreciate that you haven’t had surgery that requires a medical bra, but they are very comfortable and very adjustable and so may be worth considering. They are reasonably pricey but are well designed and comfortable.

I like the idea of the front closure. I can't imagine pulling a bra on over my head if I just had surgery.

Thanks Janet. Easier to stop by the mall than order off Amazon. I woke up from my anesthesia induced stupor this am and found that I have no clothing in the loungewear category that works for going outside. Glad it is thanksgiving week and the office will be sparse.

Oh ouch, I hope you heal quickly!

We are a similar size. I really like this bra from Nordstrom that I got during NAS. It’s very comfortable but more supportive than I expected. I thought it would just be for around-the-house wear, but I’ve worn it for travel and yoga classes too.

I had minor shoulder surgery yesterday. The incision turned out to be wider than anticipated and I cannot wear any of my regular or sports bras.

I am going to poke around on Amazon but meanwhile can you recommend something with wide straps that is at least somewhat supportive for a 30F bust. Nipple covers etc are not an option.
