I loved this flat too. I resisted because I have plenty of ballet flats and boot season is lurking. I’d go for the metallic.

Beautiful flats! I was quite tempted by them myself (but resisted.) I'm a big fan of fuchsia and think they go with a lot of things, but if you are looking for a truly neutral shoe then I'd go with the pewter. Those you can definitely wear with EVERYTHING. I think it depends on what other shoes you already have in your closet.

lwc - I wear size 12. They didn't have my size in store but the sales associate located it at another store and it is being shipped. Maybe I got lucky that my oddball size was available? I see that only size 4 and 4.5 are left online...

I like both colors! I think the pewter is more versatile, and the fuschia adds a great unexpected pop of color. I guess it depends on your wardrobe and what you want the shoe to do, stylewise. Although, it might be a moot point because of the suede vs leather issue!

MC, what size do you wear? I was told that the pewter were sold out company-wide. These are cute flats. I even managed to get a good fit with my narrow feet. That's sayin' somethin'...

I'd be interested in Angie's take on the pewters, since she doesn't approve of mixing metallics? Does it work here, and if so why?

Yes, MC, between the snow, salt and rain, I found that suede shoes have about a two-day window of opportunity to be worn without getting destroyed by the elements. So this year I am determined not to buy any even though there are so many adorable ones!

The pewters are cute, and being leather certainly gets my thumbs up.

Michelle, they are SO cute and perfect for our wide feet! The colored ones are suede but the pewter is leather. It's a simple soft ballet flat with a bow embellishment on the top towards the toe. The leather bow is "outlined" with a zipper trim... so the actual bow has an edgy zipper around it. The zipper isn't chunky, it's just enough to give the feminine shoes something special. On the pewter the zipper trim is in a gold/bronze color.

OOOH, I'm after silver or pewter flats! Could someone please describe these? Where's the bow, and what do they mean when they say it's "zipper-trimmed?"

Kristen, are they all suede? The pewter seems to be in leather.

I loved those shoes when I saw them. I like both but pewter is definitely a neutral. Fuschia isn't a neutral but I'm sure it can work just as well depending how comfortable you are with color mixing. I'm pretty bold with color choices and I think it's much more rare and difficult to find two colors that DON'T work together than two colors that do.

The pewter is a neutral for sure - I think you will find that flat very versatile.
Fuschia is very bold but if they are comfy and you are creative, you can pair with so many things. I like a bright pop of color shoe myself.

Hurray for finding comfy and stylish shoes!

I think metallics are considered neutrals if they are somewhat muted. Those are really adorable shoes. I may be the wrong person to ask because I tend to like colorful shoes especially flats(which I think can look too "sensible" in all neutral colors like black and brown). It will depend on your wardrobe and how often you really will wear those fuscia shoes. They will go with alot of colors esp if you have a wardrobe with neutrals like denim, brown, grey etc.And if they make you smile when you put them on, keep them :-)
If they make you frown or worry, take them back.

I happened across a super comfortable (and super cute?) flat at Nordies yesterday. They only had a bright fuchsia in my size and I bought it because I thought the color was beautiful. I'm having some reservations now though -- is the color too much? I'd wear it with an otherwise muted outfit.

I also went ahead and ordered a pewter pair too because comfy flats are a rarity for me.

The fuchsia flat:
http://content.nordstrom.com/I.....835113.jpg
http://shop.nordstrom.com/S/30.....0&P=1

Should I return the fuchsia?

Here is the pewter:
http://shop.nordstrom.com/S/30.....t-_-Manual

Are metallics considered a neutral? I ordered the pewter because I thought I could wear it with anything and would get more use out of it than just black or brown. Am I correct?
