Bake 20 min at 400. I also did little half size dessert ones with bananana (Brazillian banana paste). My next batch will be Brazillian style with olive and hearts of palm + cumin and other Latina spices. And dessert ones with goyabada (guava paste) and cream cheese. Goyabada was a big childhood treat for me, and I've only seen it in regular grocery stores in the last 10 years or so. I hope the samosas turned out to your expectation.  I have never made them, nor eaten them, but when I have an opportunity I will eat them.  I know I would like them. :) Oh, halftime show and commercials count for about half the reasons I watch Superbowl anyway.  Hope you enjoyed The Weekend half time show.  I did.   JAileen, You dressed very nicely and comfortably.  Good for you.  BBQ ribs,plus the avocado dip (sorry if that is not correct name) maybe it is considered more than a dip chips plus the good looking cocktail looks perfect to me.  cjh, I'm glad your yeast corn bread turned out good.  I have never heard of yeast corn bread.  However, I cook almost nothing any longer and really don't keep up with new recipes.  I do love chili and corn bread.  When my children were still home many years ago, I made chili and corn bread a lot.  We also liked pimento cheese sandwiches with the chili. I used to always go to a large party in Jacksonville, Fla, they set up a grill just inside the garage and cooked shrimp, all kinds of veggies, and everyone took a dish.  I always took a fruit tray.  After I took the first one it was always requested I bring that next times.  It was LARGE and very nice, sometimes a watermelon basket.  My son, a caterer, always helped or did it for me.  Maybe I was cheating, but hey it worked.  My companion, father of the host, always took a cherry pie he picked-up at a local restaurant.  So, as time moves on and things change, I have gone from such a big party to a party of three.  LOL  But I have to say I did enjoy yesterday's small party  Thanks for posting. rachylou on "Super Bowl LV" https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/topic/super-bowl-lv#post-2170859 Tue, 09 Feb 2021 03:34:20 +0000 rachylou 2170859@https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/ They weren’t too down. Brady is still a local boy and we rather like his wife (that’s what I bring to the football table, knowledge of super model wives, lol ). We do celebrate everything at that: coming on fast are Chinese New Year, Mardi Gras and St Patrick’s. I refuse to do Valentines because I need rest, haha! We make the nachos from scratch and add meat and all that. My brother is very pedantic about the chips and their placement on the plate, while I want to know the exact carb count to dose my insulin. There is a strict order of business when it comes to the chips. The chips go on the plate, come off it to be weighed and then go back on the plate carefully! We command the kitchen for these things while Mother tells us to get on with it from another room. Janet, hope you and puppy enjoyed the game.  For you and all the other Mahomes fans, I like him also.  Of course as I had said I was cheering for the Bucs which includes Brady, and I do like him, But, I did get a little upset sometimes when that nice Mahomes was pushed around a little to hard (as if that doesn't come with the game).  And I would yell, stop it,  leave him alone. But he will be O.K. and leave his mark on the game.  I can only make a remark like this here on YLF, where we accept each other.  It's terrible how some people respond to their "friends"  on facebook.   cat2, thanks for your response.  I am happy your  MIL is getting her vaccination.  I am in the elgible group and anxiously awaiting to hear when I will be scheduled.  I. have things to do and places to go, for instance a new great-grandaughter in North Carolina, who is three weeks old now.  Of course I know it will probably be summer before I can go.  And they do keep me up to date with pictures almost daily. Plus, living near Philly, some of us think of the Chiefs as The Andy Reids. I made a new recipe, yeast corn bread. And since it didn’t act like it was doing what the recipe described, it ended up a bit overdone. After the first rise, supposed to form into a ball on floured surface to let rise again. It was more of a soft batter, so not a ball! Then it called for baking in a Dutch oven, which I don’t have. Used a loaf pan, didn’t know how long to bake. I will report after taste test. Going to start a pan of chili in a few minutes. <div>My DH is a big fan of sports so we always watch the game. Now, I don't intend to offend anyone,but I happen to be supporting the Tampa Bay Bucs and their colors are I think steel pants (reminding me of grey I am wearing) and a white jersey with a little red in it.  No blue in theirs .  So I will probably wear a white cardi or other top over the T, and wear probably red sneaks and a red handbag.  My Ted Baker watch with rose gold face and a leather red and white floral band.  The band is my favorite look of the watch, although I love all of it.  And I have a nautical look bracelet, blue with red anchors, very small and insignificant looking, but i know its there.  It is from Talbots. Also, I will wear my bucket denim hat, and keep it on.  Haven't been to hair stylist in over a year now! So, now if you have any suggestion for me,please speak right up.  Also tell me what you are wearing and what team you are supporting.  I suspect most of you will be for Chiefs and that is good.  After all, its only a ball game and not politics.  LOL
