I, too, have a small head and may I suggest sewing, in a few places along the circumference of the inner band, a soft headband in the inner band area to make a hat smaller and more comfortable for you. I think I even have recommended it on the forum a few times when other small-headed members were searching for packable sunhats. </p> <p>My hat has been smashed in suitcases, sat upon, and taken a couple of dives into the ocean--and survived all with aplomb. The Julie Andrews vibe is lessened if I wrap a grosgrain ribbon around the crown and secure it with a tiny tack pin.
