I find Fitflop's padding to be comfortable - I have slightly wide feet at the front with a high instep, normal to high arches &amp; a narrow heel.</p> <p>PS - I live in the rather hot &amp; humid Hong Kong. (I was also going to ask about the firetrucks!)</p> <p>I will recommend a smart, light, low profile sneaker. I have two in my wardrobe, and they've both been going for years. They are simple enough to look nice with pants, dresses, and jeans.&nbsp; The key is that they are both really lightweight, so comfortable even in hot weather. I also wear them both without socks. The Frye Melanies are particularly good, if a little spendy, and come in lots of colors. Firetrucks are regularly on-campus for emergencies, and they often get lost. We will be back on site full-time at the beginning of July. I have one of those jobs that is mostly at a desk on the computer or phone or doing meetings with clients. But I also need to be comfortable running for a firetruck, cleaning the staff bathroom, hauling bottles for the water cooler, and driving the big 15 person passenger van at work.<br /> Summers here are hot, and my workplace dress code is pretty casual. I wouldn't feel comfortable in a strappy sandal, but maybe an open toe would be ok.<br /> I don't want anything high, or pointy, or too casual. Ballet flats don't work for my foot shape.<br /> I've decided that I need a pair of hurache sandals...other recomendations? </p>
