Late, but not too late for Summer- we haven't had much even warm weather yet!
As usual I bought some stuff off-season, so now I am just waiting to wear!
Included a lovely linen dress in my favourite colour, some print harem-type pants and a sleeveless shirt from Katies.
Also recently some tapered navy capri pants and a Tee-shirt from 'Mix' at Coles.
Anne, I will PM you about a couple of other items you might be able to use?

I'm really into the silk wrap skirts with exotic prints. I just found someone who imports them from India and they are really beautiful. You could wear these skirts in summer or winter. It's cool here now, so I wear them with cropped sweaters and boots. When it gets warmer I'll be pairing the skirts with pretty tanks and t-shirts with sandals.

Hmmm, wishing it was hot enough for a light summer dress.

So far I have bought an orange/red cardigan from Country Road, a pencil skirt and Moroccan print top from Veronika Maine, an Aztec print top and black cardigan from Just Jeans.

I need a couple of new pair of shoes for work, probably one flatish pair and heeled sandal with reasonable coverage.

I would like a new pair of trousers in a wider cut, but not black.

My summer season just ended but I was really interested in and added a lot of prints. It was an easy way to add interest to outfits without layering.

I'd like to find a blue summer dress, blue summer sandals and the perfect nude shoes. All have been on my list since last summer, so I'm not holding my breath - I'm just being very picky and not settling for anything that's not a 10. Like you, I'm not looking for anything precious, but it seems hard to find anything that's easy to wear and breathable fabric. I love me a list but they can be oh so helpful and oh so frustrating!

I did find some great knee length shorts for work in the perfect fit and fabrication that I bought them in three colours - black, white and beige.

I have already bought sunnies, sandals, bathers, a navy linen blazer, a floaty top and white cropped jeans. I'll buy knee length white shorts as the ones I made from old jeans and are too shabby for "good". I have a pile of sewing projects to finish that will give me all the lightweight tops I need. I really want a pair of white or grey Converse sneakers to alternate with wearing sandals. I am actively seeking a daytime clutch and I need a new hat. I'd like one with a huge wide brim like Shevia's.
I'm only thinking ahead to the end of this month and December. February and March have become our killer months and I want to leave some purchasing power for then, by which time I figure I'll be sick of my summer clothes and the weather. Penny

I am more or less sorted, but am also still looking for a nice breezy dress that is long enough, but not a maxi, not made from t-shirt fabric and not see-through. That seems to be a tall order. I might have to try and make one myself.

Also looking for white boyfriend jeans but I have just about given up on that. I have not seen a single pair anywhere here.

An extra swimsuit will also come in handy.

Summer finally ended here (knock on wood), but for me my most worn clothes were definitely airy dresses & boxy blouses that I wore with shorts or lightweight slim (but not skin tight) trousers. Funnily enough I didn't wear many skirts during the summer, because all of my skirts fit my waist, and when it's hot out I don't want anything constricting air flow! So I think having a dress on your shopping list seems like a great plan.

To sthose of you in the Southern hemisphere. - what is on your shopping list for summer?

I have already purchased one dress and a shell top which were primariy for work, but will have outside work use too. And I have my cobalt heeled sandals. I am trying to make some flat sandals bought in Jan 2012 last out. I also have some tops Lyn sent me :-)

All I have left on the list is a casual summer dress fit for those very hot days. not so precious I can't wear around the house, but reasonable to go on errands etc in too. And maybe a beach coverup or bathing skirt.

I was quite attracted to those loose sleeveless long tanks with buttons and collars, but not sure I can justify purchasing one.

Over to you...
