The Caterina top looks fabulous on you! Tanya's right, JCrew should pay you for modeling their clothes. I bought the orange shell today because it looked so good on you.

Thanks for modeling the silver top with the clamdiggers. I love it a lot.

Thanks everyone!

Tanya, I've actually considered trying to get a job at J. Crew just for the employee discount, but I've worked retail a long time and just got out of it to tutor and do more things that are along the lines of the career I want to go into, so I opted against it. It sure would be nice though, and thank you for the lovely compliment!

Thanks, Ana...you're so thorough! I'm kind of between sizes on the top so I ordered the larger of my between sizes for both the caternina and the lana so I will probably be alright on the lana. We'll see when it comes in!

I think the Caterina top is probably more snug than the polka dot top is blousy--does this make sense? I only say that because I usually wear an 8 on top, but that's mainly due to my shoulders being broad. Most things that fit my shoulders are a little bit too big around my torso. When I go sleeveless, I usually take a 6 if it's not a very fitted top. I've started ordering 2 sizes when I order from J. Crew just for this reason--it's easier than guessing how something is going to fit me based on how it looks on the model (and they probably pin/tailor things for those photos anyway). So if you ordered the polka dot top in your regular size, you're probably okay. You might want to go up in the Caterina top though (it also has a tie in the back). Do you have a J. Crew store near you? Exchanges are super easy that way!

As far as the polka dot blouse with the belt, it didn't work as well with the clamdiggers, but I only tried a skinnier belt. The clams are a tad bit lower rise than the jeans, so when I belted it, if I move much you can see my belly a little, which I didn't care for. Maybe if I belt it up higher, like right under the chest--actually that would work better I think. I'll give it a try and let you know how it goes.

Also, when you get the Polka dot blouse, the silk they used to make it has sort of a "raw" look to it--little raised bits that occur in some silk fabrics. It doesn't bother me, and it isn't really noticeable, but I just wanted to warn you so you don't think there's something wrong with it. All of them had it in every color at the store, so I know it's purposeful.

Ana, I really like the first Caterina top on you. I personally like it without the necklace. You wear that color very well! I like the silver top with the clamdiggers, but how does it look with the belt that you posted in the thread about this shirt with the cardigan? Will it be too warm worn that way? It doesn't look bad without the belt, but I felt it looked smarter with the belt. I'm now wondering if I should have ordered a smaller size in that same blouse as I probably won't wear it with a belt...Oh well, I can always try to exchange it later

You look great. I love everything on you. I might have said this before, but we have very similar taste.

I love that coral top. I have a large bust so thanks for the heads up about needing a cami. I will definitely try it.

I got one my J. Crew deliveries today. I had ordered a duplicate of the silk coral blouse, and the Caterina top in geranium. I know some of you are thinking about this top as well. It fits very nicely--I would say true to size--the 8 is very snug but not too tight on me (vs. the coral blouse and the silver polka dot lana top which are both 6s).

Here's a photo with my clamdiggers, since that's how I plan to wear it. The U neckline is very low on me--not modest at all so I layered it over a lace cami:

http://i66.photobucket.com/alb.....0289-1.jpg

I added my black bead necklace to it for interest:

http://i66.photobucket.com/alb.....0290-1.jpg

Also, Julia suggested I try the silver top unbelted with the clamdiggers, so I took some photos of that as well.

A couple of front views:

http://i66.photobucket.com/alb.....0291-1.jpg

http://i66.photobucket.com/alb.....0292-1.jpg

Side view:

http://i66.photobucket.com/alb.....0293-1.jpg
