One from Gap is a striped t shirt dress. The other is from Boden and is kind of a faux wrap. I also have a lightweight cotton sleeveless black and white plaid dress from this year's LOFT clearance. These are the skirts I've been wearing casually this summer, from BR and LOFT. The shorter ones may be too short for some, but they are knee length on me. I look for fun colors and prints in fabrications that are light but that won't fly up too easily in a breeze. I style them pretty simply with flat sandals and linen tees partially tucked. I try to find ones with wide enough shoulder straps to hide my bra. </p> <p>I'm with Thistle with the maxi skirts. I know they aren't popular around here but I recently bought a black maxi and a black and white stripe maxi and I LOVE them. They are super comfy and are cooler than jeans. Although it's colder much of the year, it can get quite hot here in the summer (upper Midwest) - right now it's in the 90's. I think part of the reason for wanting to add more skirts and dresses for casual wear, is to try and find something other than shorts, capris and cargos as the only go tos for casual wear. I think the loose fitting tee would really work with the fitted tube skirt and the cap sleeves would help balance it as well. I've found some skirts that I like - a few utility skirts, a fun shorter print skirt, a lightweight white cotton skirt and a few denim skirts. I've worn the utility skirts a lot, the denim skirts some and the others less so. I'm still in the looking stage to find casual summer dresses.
