Hmm I'm wondering if a raincoat with a curved hem instead would help to curb the drip issue? Not sure what else you can do, other than wear a longer coat...

I feel you on the rainboots - my feet feel sweaty just at the idea of rubber wellies, lol (we get summer rain & typhoons in HK too).

The shoes have exceeded my expectations, definitely!
Soggy knees- I think they do a long version with the Stutterheim coats. If you wore that with a rain boot, maybe it would work. My climate is warm- so I am generally wearing light trousers which dry fast (if it ever stops raining...) and rain boots would be v uncomfortable. So I accept the sog.

Yes soggy knees are a problem I am looking for a long raincoat for just that reason.

These look great, the shoes are cute. I would have thought the perforations wouldn't work in rain but must be the lining prevents leaks.

And why is there not more discussion in the world on soggy knee issues?! Yes. I’m glad you mentioned it

A few months ago, I posted asking for recommendations for shoes I could wear for walking in summer wet weather. Many of you were kind enough to share your thoughts, so I thought I’d report back!
What I bought:
Shoes: Frankie4 Winnie II white
This is a very neat sneaker, leather outer and lined with thin leather or fabric. The thin lining is key to not overheating! It’s got good sole cushioning, and can be customised for a range of different fit needs by using the inner sole kit. Sprayed with water repellent, they have kept me dry, and dried quickly. Which is a good thing, as we are having an exceptionally wet time on the east coast of Australia!
Socks- Falke Hidden Dry
Having struggled to find unobtrusive socks that did not slip under my foot, these actually manage to stay up. The Dry range is good for summer, being light weight. Inspired by my success, I’m also going to try their comfort version.
Coat- Stutterheim Mosebacke Lightweight in yellow
This is a well constructed rain coat for urban casual settings. Made of unlined, lightweight PU, I’m finding it comfortable in the warm humid conditions. Of course you do get soggy knees from the drip line, but I’m ok with that.
