I’ve mostly worn a uniform of patterned midi skirt + tee or tank top + flat sandals or sneakers. I prefer A-line skirts for ventilation and now prefer them even longer than before (midaxi). It’s more elegant (to my eye) and obviates the need to wear sunblock on my legs. Happy days :)</p> <p>For casual daytime wear, my MVPs have been my check skirt, Veronika Maine floral skirt, and (new) teal skirt shown in Finds. These are all viscose/tencel and cotton. All asymmetrical.</p> <p>For dressier wear, my MVPs have been my Sass &amp; Bide skirt (silk) and Allsaints green skirt (viscose). Asymmetrical again. Love the Sass &amp; Bide skirt in particular. Best buy of 2020.</p> <p>On top I wear a cotton tee if I’m spending time outdoors or a sleeveless tank if I’m indoors or out of the sun. My MVP tops are a new selection of cotton racer back tanks. I love this style and haven’t seen it around in at least 15 years. I went in hard and early (as NZers might say) and bought several. And I have worn them all, especially the black.</p> <p>For sneakers my MVP has been a white platform pair (yes, white!). The tan stripe goes well with my palette. My other favourite is a platform pair in blush that matches my check skirt well.</p> <p>For sandals my favourites are a new crossover pair that I bought in both black and in khaki and my tan coloured slides.</p> <p>For bags my favourites are my burgundy floral backpack (for walks) or a cross body bag. I have a tan woven cross body from Trenery that’s been a hit. </p> <p>I do sometimes wear shorts. I have a khaki pair and a dark floral pair. Both are woven, in organic fibres and mid thigh length. For lounging around the house I have a black cotton pair, also mid thigh but knitted for extra comfort. </p> <p>I don’t think I’ve worn dresses or long pants or jackets at all! I prefer a tailored fit with the wide legs.</p> <p>Helena- I like the mint and was pleased to find it in 100% linen. I mostly wear it with denim shorts or blue or white jeans.</p> <p>Star - it isn’t exceptionally hot where I live but I think because of our calendar and lifestyle we probably have learnt to dress for the heat for all occasions. I wear few dresses and own too many so not buying more. In January I wore a dress to work only 3 days and that was mainly to give them a turn! In December I wore a dress 8 times, some of which was for socialising which we can do here ( red dress for Christmas Day). Toppers are mainly for evening if it cools down- that has been 3 different summer cardigans plus 2 summer bomber jackets.<br /> Thin mid-calf to ankle length pants are best to show off my pretty flat or low-heeled sandals. I have 6 such pants all plain except one statement black and white snakeskin which I wear an essential black top with.<br /> In January I have worn 14 different tops. I like to mix the tops up.<br /> Sorry no Finds.
