Yep, I've found this to be very true! I really don't like synthetics, especially stretch fabrics, in the summer. Gear-wise, I try to find non-stretchy supplex/tactel nylon for bottoms and stick with high-quality merino for insulating tops, or lightweight linen/cotton/hemp for sun protection. Polyester gets sooo gross. For casual wear, I stick entirely with plant fibers -- linen, cotton, hemp. I like the idea of silk but find that it gets a little too hot and sticky -- and is too high-maintenance for me.

Also: loose/fluid cuts when possible. I prefer fitted and tailored looks when it's cooler; once it starts to warm up, I'm much more drawn to loose, breezy styles.

Recently read an article about sweating. Sweating is a word we sort of have an aversion too. Guess only guys are supposed to sweat outside the gym. But ladies, we all know we do in hot weather. One of the the things I hate is after sweating going into cold AC and freezing.

The main thing I read is the worst thing we can wear in hot weather are jeans with spandex. In fact anything with spandex. Second worst is polyester. Even small amounts in the fabric blends are bad. easier to find casual wear that is all cotton, cotton linen, or all linen. Finding dressier items gets to be a real challenge.
