Thanks for the reviews. I might give the Jergens BB creme for hands a try. It would be good to keep in my purse. I think we always forgot about keeping our hands protected and they are usually always showing!

I have become a big fan of CeraVe products. I use the Moisturizer without sunscreen year round after the shower and it keeps my skin silky smooth like nothing else. I just gave the sunscreen a try this summer and was amazed that it didn't burn my face. I been looking for years for something I could wear on my face that doesn't burn my skin.

I have to put in a plug for the new Manga mascara. I have invisible eyelashes and nothing has ever made the trouble of mascara worth it to me. But I've actually wielded the wand of this tube three times since I got it. It makes a difference (!)

Oh, good info, donnat. Target is the main place I've seen ELF in stores, but I know that doesn't do you any Canadians any good. They also have a nice website and carry a lot of things online that you can't find in stores.

Thanks for the recommendations, all, keep em coming!

Thank you for the review. I have never tried ELF products. Not seen them in Canada. I am going to look for the Jergens BB hand cream. My hands could use some help.
I don't use foundation or any face make up but I thought I would try a BB cream. I did try Smashbox BB Cream. I liked the texture and look of it but the colour I got was too light or something. So I will go back and ask the nice SA for help.

I bought the Jergens BB Hand Cream too, and really like it. My problem with hand cream tubes (and lip balms) is I'm constantly losing them or forgetting to stick one in my purse. Then, after a few months, I find 7 tubes of hand cream in my gym bag or something. And all of my lip glosses that I love but couldn't find. My favourite new product this summer was a serum foundation from Lise Watier (Canadian brand) . Really liquidy but the colour is fantastic and I love the coverage. Probably the best foundation I have ever used. Revlon Lip Butters are also a new fav. Perfect for summer, excellent colour and so moisturizing!

I've never tried ELF products - I don't think they are available in Canada.

I got the IT CC cream and really like it. It is giving my tried and true Clinique CC cream a run. Not sure which I prefer more. I do need a moisturizer prior to putting on the IT CC cream. It seems to dry my skin out more than the Clinique. Love how they both cover my discolored areas on my face.

Have you tried the Timeless Cosmetics Vitamin C serum? It has hydraulic acid so it does not dry my skin like some of the others..

Here's what I've tried recently:

Jergens BB Hand perfecting hand cream with sunscreen (drugstore.com)
I've been noticing the signs of encroaching age on my hands recently, so I thought I'd give this a try. It doesn't have a tint like a face BB cream, so I suppose it's not that different from a regular sunscreen, but it's also supposed to even skin tone and diminish dark spots. So far I like it - it's thicker so it stays on my hands well, and I bought another tube to keep in the car, since I'm not great about remembering to put sunscreen on my hands after I wash them.

Mad Hippie Vitamin C Serum (drugstore.com)
I saw this mentioned in a magazine, I think, and decided to give it a try as a summer compliment to my Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Serum, which is a bit heavy for the warmer months. I like it in general, but it dries out the area of my cheeks beside my nose too much and makes that area red. Probably will use it up but not buy again.

CeraVe sunscreen body lotion spf 30 (Ulta)
I've been an Neutrogena Ultra-Sheer devotee for body sunscreen for years, but recently I've been feeling like it's not working that well for me. I use CeraVe cleanser so I thought I'd give this a try - it has both chemical and physical (zinc) sunscreens. So far so good.

Sephora Collection skin perfect CC cream (Sephora)
Too dark and orange-y for me; returned.

Sephora Collection nail polish corrector pen (Sephora)
So so handy. Recommended if you're a messy pedicure-ist like me.

Make Up for Ever Ultra HD foundation (Sephora)
Got a deluxe sample of this with my Sephora order and I love it; great color, good coverage without looking fake or going cakey. I'm psyching myself up to buy a full-size container once the sample runs out ($40!).

ELF had a 40% off offer recently so I ordered several things from them, some that are already go-tos for me (the eyeliner pens and makeup remover pen), some that were new.

Moisturizing lipstick, ravishing rose (ELF)
Color is a bit bold for my coloring, more of a going-out lipstick than an every day one, but I like the feel of it.

Lip balm SPF 15, rose (ELF)
Love the color. Unforunately it's menthol/mint flavored (not a fan).

Tinted moisturizer SPF 20, ivory (ELF)
A little tan for me but close enough for casual wear. Very thin and slippy - I prefer a slightly heavier coverage most days but it'd be nice for casual weekends.

Makeup mist & set (ELF)
Not sure about this one yet, I've only used it a couple of times. Seems to help but not make a huge difference.

How about you?
