What I <b>seem</b> to have discovered so far is that I take a UK 8 in most of the knit and woven sleeved dresses but a UK 6 in woven dresses that are sleeveless and have a fitted bodice and looser bottom. Some of the woven dresses don't fit in either size -- they are simply cut too wide in the body. But a smaller size doesn't fit my shoulder.&nbsp;</p> <p>Overall, I think they are cut for someone who is larger in the bust than I am (no surprise there, since just about everyone is!). Our hot and humid summer has required loose, sleeveless frocks in natural fabrics. These had enough flair to feel feminine and special while being uber casual in reality. Sizing was interesting. The navy Evelyn, a US 4, is loose, but structured enough to flatter that way. I love the cool feel. The white rickrack, also a 4, is smaller, but needs taken up in the shoulders for the empire to hit properly. The Phoebe in the red coral print is a U.S. 6 long. I loved La Ped`s looser fit; I hate anything sticking to me in the heat. It was the right call. In Boden, I have learned that in fitted dresses I size up, while in looser dresses, size down. Even then, the sizing is inconsistent, which is strange for the overall emphasis on quality and style. Nonetheless, I had a good summer and filled some wardrobe holes. Thanks for everyone sharing their NAS and summer scores! </p>
