Last year was my first attempt, and I bought Jag pull-ons in a bootcut and Jag straights. They are very thick and have a bit of texture. I find the straight legs more practical as the hem stays cleaner.

FWIW, in years past I avoided white jeans like the plague because I have very short very chunky legs. (Jags have wider legs than most brands.) I am getting used to the look and find the white bottom to be a great seasonal bridge because so much of my wardrobe is dark. Summer temps where I live are moderate, and since I run cold and don't really like to wear shorts, there have been some summers where I haven't even worn them so white jeans really fill that niche.
Stay white...hahaha...You don't know me...

I've resigned myself to the fact that white jeans only get one wear before they hit the laundry. I'm AMAZED if they get to two! LOL

I just bought a pair of BR straight legs, and I also just got a pair of Gap Always Skinnies. You all convinced me to try them!

Now I will see how long they will stay white....

Remember you'll need nude undies to wear under them, and size up one size (at least). I love my jeans (from Jacob here in Canada) but if they are thick enough to not be see through they only last from April til very early June here then it's too hot to wear them!

I have Kut From The Cloth that I really like. Mine are a couple of years old and don't stretch much. What Suz said.. You want a denim heavy enough not to show through and that is harder than expected to find.

Yes, Levis seem to fit me, too. I also have a couple of CK that are pretty good. I suppose I will have to try a few pairs on :(
It really depends on your body type and your preferences. Are you looking for straight leg, skinny, bootcut? How high or low a rise? Etc.

Mine are Angie recommended Kut from the Kloth Dianas. They stretch out a fair bit on wearing but in a white jean I don't mind that. I prefer a slightly looser look for them. In the photo, they are in a "just washed" state and relatively snug; they loosen quite a bit during wear.

One thing to pay attention to: fabric thickness and transparency. In some, the pockets show through in an unpleasant way.

You might start with your favourite pair of regular jeans and see if the maker has a white version.

I have never worn white jeans in my life, but have so admired them on many of you.
Does anyone have any suggestions for a brand or style that would be good for a first attempt?
Thanks so much.
