I've been looking for a more structured shirt dress similar to the one you're wearing. I don't think it's overly sweet because it does look very crisp and structured. I like the idea of adding a different belt to it. You could play around with all sorts of belts--patent, woven/"straw" belts. Have you thought about adding some brightly colored shoes as well? I'm not sure that I capture any of them just yet. Still working on it. But I think I often forgo a bit of edge so I'm trying to make a point of adding some to my outfits. (Ok, as edgy as I can get, which probably isn't very edgy. Edgy for me.) I think my outfits can be cloyingly sweet sometimes - like the fashion equivalent of an overly flowery perfume. Ugh.
