We are foot/feet twins....9.5 narrow heel, painful bunions! I love seeing the shoes that work for you and they are fun and super stylish. Love! Would be so thankful for them to find a way into my closet.

Will look forward to seeing what you come it with for booties. I will be of no help. I have 3 pairs of the Sam Edelman Pettys that are popular on the forum, but they are mostly for pants or jeans.

Good luck!

You are an over achiever! I was expecting to see one pair of pointy-toe flats, but you found four! This is a great assortment, and how terrific that they are 12 hour shoes, besides.

Great job! I guess I have not put the effort in as I do not have such a great selection, and our shopping options are similar. I did pick these up recently from Aldo. They did give me a blister on the heel on first wear, but are otherwise decently comfortable (wearing them with knee highs today...)
http://www.aldoshoes.com/ca/en.....5048522-40

Yes, for my last Toronto TTC commute winter I had 3 pairs of shoes at work - booties, heeled oxfords and navy suede Converse HiNess. I took off my tall boots just about every day and found the shoes much more comfortable. Plus I got more, but fairly low-impact, wear out of my transitional shoes. The trick for me was having a few pairs to choose from for different outfits - and that they all worked with socks.

This is great info! We have similar feet, I think! I have two questions: 1) Is your second toe longer or shorter than your big toe? 2) How close does these shoes press or touch to your big and second toe toenails?

That's great that you found 12 hour shoes. Sounds like our feel are very similar. I have never found a pair of pointy toe shoes that would stay on my feet. It is quite an accomplishment to have found 5 pairs!

Your feet sound exactly like mine -- same size and same narrow heel wide forefoot. I think the pointy flat is an elegant solution. You get mobility comfort and style. I agree on finding a low-heeled bootie to mix things up.

My only word of caution is you will wear out the heel especially if you walk hard like I do when commuting. Depending on whether you pronate in or out, your heel will reflect your walking pattern well before the end of the season. I suggest getting some sleek ballet flat sneakers (stability and the ability to run when necessary). I am sure there is a technical name for them but that's what they look like to me. I wore a pair when I walked all over Paris 2 years ago because I did not want to look like one of those unstylish Americans.

Sounds like you've got a great collection, my fellow Canadian (Town Shoes ftw)!
I don't wear flats very often, but am delighted with a pair of pointy-toed Cole Haan slipper flats I picked up last year. I can't link to them, unfortunately, but thought I'd throw the brand out there as one with a consistent and impressive record on comfort.
Your reply

I can't decide... I want to collect them all.... those zippered Tahari's first caught my eye but the silver ones sound intriguing. And the red BCBGs are to die for.

Comfort first for my size 9.5's, so when I started 'the big commute' to my job in the city, even my comfortable heels became uncomfortable. The pointy toe look appeals to me, but I do have fussy feet. Narrow heel, but wide forefoot with bunions, mid to low volume. Most lunch hours I hit the gym for a few miles on the tread mill -- so I'm hard on my feet!

The shoes below can make it through a 12 hour day!

Red and black BCBG suede baby wedge flats - got the red ones about a year ago and pounced on the black ones a couple of month later when they showed up in store

Tahari leather zippered baby wedge - the newest, and good with trousers

Towne Shoes italian leather silver loafer - wild card, and the most comfortable (!) with a low rubber heel that seems to provide extra shock absorption

Navy blue leather Weejuns - my least fave, as they are a little hard soled, and more casual looking

I am keeping my eye open for a refined booty that I can wear with dresses and skirts, and I would like to add a wine coloured shoe as well. I'll probably transport some of my heels to work and stash them there for the winter when I will want to switch out of tall boots. I only have one pair, and I can't imagine wearing them for 12 hours straight.
