Nice coat, many possibilities.

I always try to style vintage pieces away from their era. Flared jeans would definitely work, but I'd say keep it contemporary rather than retro. I love the idea with winter whites as per Joy and unfrumped. I think it could be amazing over a black turtleneck and tall boots.

I love Unfrumped's idea of a winter whiteout! I think retro would be fabulous too.

Agreeing with kkards above -- I would be very tempted to go full retro '70's with flared jeans and a turtleneck.

you could go retro--wide leg, or wide boot cut, jeans (high waisted prefered) and a turtleneck....or a simple black column of color..

Let the coat stand out. Skinny jeans tall boots thin seater and a knit hat maybe a beret.

I'd go monochromatic. Shades of browns or tans. I think that would look retro elegant

I'd wear it with brown or a pale tan/ winter white ankle boot. Suede would be nice. You might try a cashmere scarf in a color that blends with the fur. As there looks like a lot going on with the coat and collar, I'd avoid a pattern unless it is subtle. A creamy beret hat and large tote bag in a color similar to your boots and brown leather gloves could finish the look.

I'm not an expert snd may be playing if safe, big maybe modern classic everything else- simple jeans, booties, slim turtleneck- maybe in a column of medium dark neutrals. Or winter whiteout for more drama!

A while ago I spied this unique brown leather trench with a rabbit fur collar and sleeve cuffs at a thrift store. It was in great shape and felt so luxurious and fit perfectly, so I brought it home. Now it's getting cold and I'd like to wear it, though I don't know how to style it and keep it looking modern and chic (not to mention I've never worn real fur before and I'm not sure what reaction to expect, though I don't really have any objections to it). It's by Guess and it has a nice silhouette with the belt tied.

I tried searching for more information about it, like to figure out how old it might be, and I only found this one old image on Poshmark where it was advertised as vintage but no real info provided.

This isn't the best quality picture but you can get the idea.
