Update! Well I feel a lot better now. I wore the pants to work (actually pretty much the whole outfit. Ha!) and got compliments on my pants (I normally wear jeans to work; it is a casual office :-) ). I see Angie has addressed the ankle-pants fit issue in her blog (http://youlookfab.com/2014/02/.....kle-pants/), for which I am grateful! I've seen ankle pants at all kinds of lengths IRL and IMHO some look good, some meh, some bad to my eye. Mine fall pretty much exactly where the model's does (the model wearing the loafers), i.e. right at the ankle bone, so I have decided I'm happy with the fit. I realize that Angie likes this look with a higher vamped shoe such as a flat loafer, but there is nothing about flats that makes this 5' tall gal look any taller, so I opted to stick with heels (lower nude heels with a peep-toe, since our weather has been in the 70s!). Just wanted to say thanks for all of your input and I highly recommend these pants. Soooo comfy (and cheap, too). I want to buy a pair of dark blue ones but I see they are already sold out online in my size (*sigh*). I like these with both heels and loafers, despite the fact that I am not really big on flats. So yay!

@adorkable I do not generally wear flats. Sometimes. But it is really hard for me to find flats that are comfy! I do have one pair of (non-sporty) flats but they have an ankle strap and thus do not look good with these! Oh yeah and I do have a pair of flat loafers I almost forgot about. Maybe I will try those.

I did try to roll up the pants and to me that made my leg line look way shorter. These pants hit right at my ankle bone as-is. If I roll them up they look like capris. I will post a pic.

Do you wear flats? I think I'd like to see either shorter or longer with heels myself but they look exactly right for flats!

I'm seeing a lot of variation in preference on the length of these pants! Some like them as is, some say shorter, some say longer. So far I kinda like them as is. There is some length to let down if I decide to make them longer. If I make them longer though they won't be ankle pants! I am afraid if I shorten I might indeed need to taper them (at my tailor this costs $15) but I'd rather not pay to alter such cheap pants! If I do a plain old hem I can do it myself. But so far I kinda like them as they are. I will roll them up a bit and see what happens....

Great look on you! The pants look like keepers. I do think the length could be adjusted. Either a tough longer (if there is seam allowance to let them down) to make them full length -- or a bit shorter to make them real ankle pants -- a few inches above the ankle. In that case you might have to taper them a bit, too -- but it's tough to say.

I just bought those pants in black and red! My only concern is they may be touch long to be ankle pants. Could you try rolling them up?

Pants look great. That top doesn't need a necklace since you have an embellished neckline. But with a plain top, yes the necklace would look nice longer.

Well if they were longer they really wouldn't be ankle pants anymore right? I am new to ankle pants.

I like it! I will admit that I like my pants a bit on the shorter side with heels, so I'm not a good one to ask about PPL. I am partial to seeing the shoes!

@Marmee well they are ankle pants so I was thinking maybe they are supposed to be a bit shorter? Guess I will see what others have to say!

Looks great! I like the length of the top in the back, and love the jacket. Would you consider scrunching the sleeves instead of rolling them? Also, I'm not very good at PPL, but it would be interesting to get some feedback on the pants length. I'm wondering if they should be a tiny bit longer.

Old Navy Pixie ankle-pants, old Express top, Old Navy ponte blazer. Normally if I were wearing this I would put a chain extender on my necklace and wear it longer.Thoughts?
