VERY hard to choose favourites from that bunch, but I liked #3 best for the awesome pattern mixing, followed by #2 for letting the print pop and using black all over to streamline and unite the bombshell shape!

Thanks! You're right, it's a statement for itself. I think what combination I'm likely to end up with depends on the mood I'm in when I dress .

I like two best, but that's because I'm minimal and think that skirt speaks for herself... ALONE! Beautiful

Thanks Celia! You're right, black is definitely more of a statement.

Thanks Kiwichik! I have red and aqua on my list of possilble colors to look out for when I'll shop for tops. I agree that these would look great!

Thanks Claire! That's a possibility, as long as it's not too warm.

I really like the way the black belt lowered your waist in number 2. You could pop the green jacket over top. I think the black vest performs a similar function.

That print was *made* for you Astrid! It plays off your coloring beautifully!

Oooh love that skirt and all the combos. Would love to see it with red & aqua as well although you have Done it with the red ikat top which is a great pattern mix.

Thanks Rita and Kirti!

Thanks Inge! I don't have any of the colors you mentioned when it comes to button downs. I think I would prefer to leave a button down shirt untucked with this skirt and I'd need a really short one for that.

Thanks Meredith! I'm still searching for the perfect white t-shirt. I agree, white would be nice!

Thanks Suz! The slip is a good idea, I'll have to see where I could get one.

Thanks Sarah!

Thanks Beth Ann! I haven't tried it yet, but I agree that a turquoise top would look fab with it. I can see what you mean about the pattern mix.

Thanks Una! That's funny about the points, I wouldn't even have thought about this.

Thanks Aida! I tried it, but it didn't work, it was too boxy and long to leave it untucked over the skirt and too billow-y to tuck it.

Thanks Diana! I definitely want that lighter wash denim jacket.

Thank you so much Angie! I'm glad I could make it work. :)

Beautiful skirt, and I love it with the belt! I'm undecided about the pattern mixing. I think you've done it expertly, but I'm not sure it adds to the skirts charms. This will work well 3 seasons of the year. Have you tried to bring out the lighter blue?

And you know the thing about tights and the cotton? I wonder if a slip would solve that so you could wear it into fall with boots.

It's such a stunning skirt, Astrid, what a find! I like #1, #2 and #5 best, and also love the idea of the denim waistcoat, and the righ cropped top.
Do you have a white button-down shirt or a bright blue, or darker blue one? I would imagine they could look very crisp (instead of too sweet and innocent).

So I just played around with the skirt for an hour and tried to work with the things I already have in my wardrobe. That's not much unfortunately, but I think I know better now what to search for. Here are the combinations I liked best.

#1 With the cropped jacket. I like this a lot! I don't have a blue cropped denim jacket (my old one was passed down to my sister), but it's on my list.

#2 Lowering the waist with a wide belt. The top is normally just a layering top, so I want to try if I can find a more substantial navy top as an alternative.

#3 Pattern mixing anyone? Is it too much? I like it, but maybe I'm crazy.

#4 With a pile of necklaces and a simple black shirt. The shirt is a bit tight (another layering shirt), but I like the idea.

#5 With my black waistcoat. I really like the way this looks and I'm thinking about getting that denim waistcoat I was talking about.

I also think that it will look perfect with some casual cropped tops, but I think these will be hard to find.

I also tried my different cardigans and button downs or blouses and I didn't like the results all that much. They were too sweet and innocent looking in my opinion. I preferred some structure on top (jacket/waistcoat) or a more boho or casual look.

What do you think? Do you prefer a certain look and if yes - why?
