Oh, wow, lots of lace skirt fabness in the pictures here. I don't get enough wear out of my lace skirt either, so I appreciate your post and am watching the ideas with interest.

Depends on where you intend to wear it. My lace skirt is slightly A line with a charcoal underlayer. Most of my wears are as illustrated with a black mockjk turtleneck, tights, and boots, usually worn to church. I have also worn it with a shirt (sleeves rolled up because I'm mostly RATE), either white, or black and white plaid, sometimes with a sweater vest over top (black or gold). It is too fragile for my job so tends to be party or movie outfits even when casual.

I'd also wear it with a slouchy sweater and loafers or oxfords. Have definitely worn it with my mixed media black leather jacket.

If you do graphic Ts or luxe sweatshirts and sneakers that's another cool daytime combo.

Ok... I am searching a blue jumper, nude micronets and patent pumps to try!
love your look Runcarla - that is a look I would feel comfortable with.

This is what I did for work! Wore cognac brogues for the commute, and low heeled patent pumps with a grosgrain bow and pointy toe at work.

I've also seen lace skirts styled with a slouchy sweater or light weight sweatshirt.

Not sure what yours is like but I have a rather straight one with a nude lining that I like to wear with a black short sleeve turtleneck or a black button down shirt with the cuffs rolled, nude micro-fishnets and heels. Still both on the dressier side for day but my particular skirt doesn't lend itself to the tee shirt, jean jacket, sneakers look (but I like that too!).

Try with a denim or chambray shirt. Or an ink blue jumper.
