I don’t wear black and don’t have anything black anymore, so that would mean building complete temporary wardrobe. I didn’t feel like this would help with my grieving process, and I don’t really need to show to the outside world that I am in mourning. I know my grandmother generation was very strict about it and my grandmother wore black for the whole year when my grandfather died. Do give yourself time and space for the grief. </p> <p>That’s a great outfit on neutrals. Not boring. Agree with just setting aside any bright colors you’re not feeling , and re- evaluate. With the neutrals, you can focus on fits and silhouettes more than color, and see if that helps you with your style direction over time. </p> <p>I’ve been looking at neutrals a bit more because it seems easier to get better construction and higher- quality fabrics. Plus I feel I need more slam- dunk travel capsules. But black and navy aren’t good “ face colors “ for me ( tops &amp; toppers &amp; dresses) except for some summer items when a T or tank allows for showing skin. </p>
