Finshed my Saturday chores, thought more about this, and have come back to say once again, it's clear how good Angie is at this. East Coast Electric....that is me...it's how I dress, it's the prism thru which I (for better or worse) view the world, it's the way I think the world views me.....
And thank you La Ped for the 4 Cs...to which I'm going to add a 5th...comfortable

Style Moniker: East Coast Electric

Style Adjectives : Current, Classic, Crisp, Coordinated, Comfortable

kkhards- Wish I could help more, I am not very good at the descriptor thing. But I did want to say that I really like your style. Your garments are simple and classic and soft in that they drape and the fabrics appear soft. But you style them with a edge. I see the boldness and graphic element that La Ped mentioned. I get the East Coast Style .

You have GREAT style, kkards.

Classic doen not contradict Current or Modern, actually. Classics are SOOO versatile - they mould themselves into any look.

East Coat Graphic is another option.

Bijou...i was struggling with the comfort as well, but reflecting on it, i think it refers to my needing to be physically and psychologically comfortable in what i wear...more of what torontogirl called out as unfussy, which i think hits the nail it right on the head!
La Pedestrienne--LOVE the 4 C's..perfect...not even sure i need a fifth!

Bold was definitely the first word that came to mind -- there is a high-contrast, graphic element to your style that makes it stand out. I like edgy, too; you seem to do classic-with-a-twist, rather than straight-up classic.

I like Edgy East Coast Eclectic, with C's for adjectives: Current, Classic, Crisp, Coordinated (I think "crisp and coordinated" communicates a broader style direction than matchy-matchy). Not sure what I'd put for the fifth adjective.

I agree with Torontogirl, East Coast Eclectic seems to fit you.

In relation to Smart, Casual, Comfort - I don't really see comfort in these looks. Comfort suggests to me big cosy wraps and blankets - so I must be missing something. Smart and Casual do work, but I think that sort of is encompassed in the East Coast Eclectic moniker. I can see an edgy element in your style and your hair, so possibly Edgy East Coast Eclectic?

I love these outfits and your boot collection, fantastic!

kkards, I love Angie's suggestion of East Coast Eclectic ... I definitely sense that classic eastern style, with a few unexpected elements through in to the mix!

Other adjectives that spring to mind with these outfits: unfussy, simple, some of them edgy. Do any of these resonate? Love all these btw - and I love your neutrals, but that dark red, wow - so flattering on you!

I’ve been here more than 5 years, but have never been able to come up with a style moniker. As I was reading through every ones responds on Angie’s blog this week, I realized I really should, If not for me, than for others. A style moniker is really about identifying my brand. Not sure why it took me 5 years to get this. But now that I’m here, I need help.

Angie suggest the following:
Smart Casual Comfort
East Coast Eclectic

And now I’m asking for the YLF focus group to chime in. Do you think one of these works, which one...or a suggestion for something else. (I’m including outfit photos for the past couple of Wednesdays & Thursdays to show I’m really dressing).

And bonus if you want to help with some adjectives.
*current—not specifically trendy, but of the present time
*classic—seems like it could contradict current, but I see this as helping to round out the current. I want a style and piece that evolve and change over time, but with subtle updates
*matchy-matchy—-I have a need for making sure that my shoes watch my belt, or my top...the pictures will make this really obvious

So there’s still 2 adjectives spits open. Ideas?

Thanks in advance
