I remember seeing her collection for Uniqlo a few years back and there were a number of floral shirt dresses in it, which is why I picked my dress. However, now I have Googled her, I cannot find an image of her wearing one at all! I will have to do better research in the future.</p> <p>Emmanuelle Alt is interesting as she is such a uniform dresser, apparently no longer wearing skirts or dresses at all. I like variety so I am not sure if I could be so consistent in my personal style however I can see her point in that if a look works so well (as it stunningly does on her), then why not stick with it. Oh to be so tall and slender! However, I thought I would persevere:</p> <p>Emmanuelle Alt outfit consisted of:<br />skinny jeans in grey (not a favoured cut for me)<br />white t-shirt<br />black boyfriend jacket<br />black loafers and socks (it looked better with heeled pumps - but as I had lots of walking to do - loafers were a more practical solution.<br />Watch, wedding ring and diamond stud earrings - no additional adornment<br />Make-up and hair were as natural as I could stand (so minimal to look natural). Alas, I do not have EA's amazing cheekbones!<br />I carried a black handbag - as I cannot exist on an iPhone alone. I did think that Natalie's Hamlet bag would be a good addition here...</p> <p>Results:<br />I enjoyed how minimal this look was, it felt stylish and elegant. It also leaves you no where to hide - the fit of each and every item needs to be right. What I learned was to buy well and be really fussy for each item to be 10's (I am a bit of a curse of the 7's girl), so that less is definitely more. I will wear this again - but adding a necklace.</p> <p>Ines de la Fessante outfit consisted of:<br />Shirt style dress<br />Red boots<br />Blush wool coat (not photographed)</p> <p>Results:<br />I liked the more quirky touch that my red boots gave this outfit. I mainly wear this dress back with black accessories, but going with a more quirky colour mix lifted my spirits on a dull day.&nbsp;</p> <p>So all in all - I am enjoying the style challenge. I don't look like these ladies, but it does not mean that I cannot learn from their style and have fun. Unfortunately all my items are not recent purchases (the dress was the most recent, I did track down a picture of the dress).</p> <p>Bijou</p> <p>PS: sorry for the terrible quality of the photos. </p>
