You rock those espadrilles! I LOVE the light colour. Pretty, low contrast against your complexion, and Summery.

I like this color shoe with the outfit. Looks very summery. But agree with Bijou that cognac shoes do seem to go with everything. And it is very difficult to match navy shades.

For this outfit, I'd prefer a different color shoe (navy, rose, caramel, olive, bronze, pewter, snakeskin). I'd personally be cautious of duplicating this exact shoe. If you only have a few summer shoes, I'd get a different colored pair that are distinctly different from these, to give yourself variety and options.

I don't think you'll go wrong with the cream, or navy, or a tan as Joy suggested. You're spoiled for choice!

Ok, I’m going to the the odd man out, I’d go for the navy if you wear a lot of navy...if this would be the only outfit that you’d wear them with, than no. I personally like matching my shoes with my outfits.

I think it looks nice as is, but having said that I have very pale skin myself and find I prefer high contrast shoes. I have some very nice low heeled beige shoes and somehow don’t feel like they look so good. So I would also consider following your instincts.
There are lots of posts about duplicates on the forum. Some people live for them but others find they only end up wearing one colour and the other languishes. So just try to work out which kind of person you are before you order the dupe

I like this look too and don't think you need to have navy shoes. I have cognac leather espadrilles and find that they go with most things in summer (especially if I can be bothered to put some fake tanner on my legs).

Thanks everyone!
Gigi the trousers are navy maybe they just look black in the photos but definitely navy in real life.

I have similar coloring to you and feel the same way about light-colored shoes sometimes. IMO, the navy might look "off" since the trousers are black (I really like the trousers, by the way!). What I would do is change out your shirt to something lighter. Then the outfit might feel more cohesive.

I think it looks fine because there are other lighter things in your outfit like your bag and as Deborah says, your pale skin also contrasts with the dark pants so it does all look put together well.

I don't mind the contrast at all. I think the fact that they are spring / summer shoes means that you will generally have some skin showing when you wear them. Like how your arms are not fully covered in this shot. I think your pale skin makes the shoes work. Not sure if that makes sense but it all looks very balanced to my eye.

Oh that's a good idea actually Joy. I think that would work. I really fancy espadrilles though for summer. Wonder if I can find a taupe pair. You've given me something to think about! I'm planning on a taupe belt and some loafers, I think they would go.

I like the high deliberate contrast. I feel that maybe a navy would be too formal a colour for such casual shoes when the trousers also lean a little formal, if that makes sense. It might feel less deliberate. Joy has a good suggestion as well.

Instead of. navy which will probably not match the pants anyway, how abput getting shoes the color of your hair...a caramel or medium brown like the bellt in the tee shirt photo? Get a bag that blends and you will look pulled together.

I feel like these shoes are too light to pair with navy, so was considering getting them in navy colour too. What do you think?
