So the hydrogen peroxide didn't work.
Ramya I'll try your salt solution next (Though not sure if even have a cup of salt. Maybe 1/2 cup salt and a quarter of a bucket of water)

If that doesn't work I'll try again with the bleach and do it for longer.

Can you soak it in salt water for half an hour and then wash?

Normally that's the first thing I do and it usually removes everything. But with so many things tried prior I am not sure how it would work.

A cup of salt and half a bucket of water. Dissolve salt in it and soak the shirt.

Chemist or supermarket for hydrogen peroxide anne but I wouldn't use it if your top is silk as it may yellow it.

I buy it at any drug store. It's very cheap. I think some use it to disinfect wounds.
I also found this advice:

To remove makeup stains, rub shampoo or dish detergent (preferrably a grease cutting formula), or shampoo into the stain. You could also try spraying with hairspray or using a non-oily makeup remover to remove the stain. Then, launder as usual.

You have tried what I would suggest. Maybe rub in Dawn dish washing liquid soap if it is a grease stain. I have not tried it, but have heard that hydrogen peroxide can help on whites. Maybe someone else will know.
ETA: this site may help. http://www.rd.com/home/homemad.....solutions/
And this about getting makeup stains out of white towels: http://answers.yahoo.com/quest.....421AATnBZM
(a comment says rubbing on baby shampoo works)

Yes I had high hopes of the dry cleaners, especially since they had just got our foundation stains from my white jacket. There was a little tag saying that they didn't want to harm the fabric as their justification

While my new white shirt was in the laundry was in the laundry bin, a cloth that had been used to mop up some foundation or powder was thrown in on top and not detected for some days. I was NOT happy. Now the shirt is stained(Note to anyone who has kids who clean the bathroom as part of their jobs to explicitly tell them when to put their cleaning cloths, I thought I had covered this ground but they must have forgotten )

So far I have tried, in order; squirting with pre wash remover and washing, soaking in stain remover and then washing, taking to the drycleaners, using a paste of stain remover (though it was an environmenally friendly sort) and bleaching for 5 minutes and then washing. Since then it has been hanging on the line, getting drenched by our spring rains and probably not getting much sunshine to bleach it. The stains are still there

Do you have any further suggestions? In my small wardrobe and budget, this shirt represented a significant portion.
