The jeans are perfect for grounding and not being over- flowy. The shoes with wrap ties work to “ close the gap “ with crops and the soft color works well for that. I think my intended message was lost somewhere ....regarding the trendiness ( or not) of certain pieces. &nbsp;The "old me" would have replaced these sandals with something cleaner, (a simple strap and block heel) or with a pointy toe flat, because this look really peaked a year or so &nbsp;ago. &nbsp;But I'm ok with it, because I like it. &nbsp;And same with the cropped flares with the fringe hem &nbsp;- that look has peaked too. &nbsp;But I still like them and they are supremely comfortable . I'm finally &nbsp;listening to my inner voice, and not feeling like I need to upgrade every thing I own every other year or so. &nbsp;Same with the top - all of the trends at once may be eye-roll-worthy , but it makes me happy, I feel cool(temperature wise) and decently pulled together , and I appreciate the quality of the piece itself. &nbsp;It's funny: I bought two pair of block-heeled suede mules (one blush , one black) &nbsp;this summer, and haven't worn either pair more than once (thankfully they were inexpensive) &nbsp; Maybe they'll be a fall look, but they didn't end up being terribly comfortable or easy to walk in, and are resigned to going -out shoes. &nbsp;Kind of a waste of money ....being more concerned with the trend than the reality. &nbsp;Whatever - at least I don't make that mistake with shoes very often &nbsp; </p>
