Thanks you for the valuable feedback, ladies!

Gigi, thanks! I'm really more comfy in shorter pant lengths.

fuzzylogic, thanks! That's a first (about the classic pant length) and might I say that I completely agree with you!

I think both outfits are great, but I agree with others that the pants in #1 look a little short. I really like your shoes in both outfits - they're both great and really provide the finishing touch to each outfit.

I think it's fair to say that YLFers tend to be fussier about pants being worn long. As fuzzylogic said, your length in #1 would probably be considered fine by many standards. I have to say, I've been here long enough that to me, they do look short.

I love your use of scarves in these outfits! I have challenges with scarves and you've made them look so natural and integrated into the look. Well done!

Elegantly stylish versus stylishly funky- how do I choose? Please don't make me choose. I love them both!!

I don't see an issue with the length of the pants in #1.(?) I see it as a classic length, resting just on the foot.

Lusting after your animal print flats in #2!

I love outfit #2, though they are both good. My heart has been stolen by those zebra flats...

I am another one who wears her pants on the short side, though my issue is with bootcuts. So you won't get any trouser-length comments from me. Enjoy! :^)

Ornella, thank you for the feedback! :)
Interesting point about scarves. I'll surely wear a scarf without tassels and post a photo here.

I think both looks are very pretty. In the first one the colour of the shoes is for me the real star, it's unexpected, really gives the outfit a character and suits you perfectly. It's a beautiful shape of toes for you too. I second Angie's advice (well, she opened my eyes towards my personal life-long issue) about the pants length. I think going either longer with the straight style or towards slightly more tapered style would not create the issue the broken horizontal line. Case in point - outfit #2. The cut of the jeans is perfect and to my eye creates more harmonious overall silhouette.

I like how playful you are with the scarves I'd like to see one without tassels also, I think it would bring even more focus on your face. Just a thought.

Thanks for the feedback, ladies! :)

Angie, thank you! Lots of people have told me about the trouser length but somehow I prefer to wear them like this. I do have some trousers which hit just above the shoe, but somehow I drift towards this style/length more.

#2 is my favourite. The trousers in #1 look about 2.5 inches too short when worn with heels. The fit and proportions of #1 are spot on. Great look on you, Asingh.

Very nice! #1 is classic for work and #2 is more fun. I'm inclined to go with 2 as my favourite as I love the pink scarf and bag and your pointy shoes

I borrowed this striped sweater from my little sister, and wore it for work as well as dinner.

1.I wore this striped sweater with my trusted black trousers for work. I layered this outfit with a little sweater and a black tee, and added a chunky berry coloured scarf to the mix. The scarf has a super-soft texture and is dotted with little white specks and a lace border. Going with the pop of berry, I wore my berry pumps, which I think nicely pulled the look together. The brown of the bag added richness to the look. Overall, I was happy with this outfit.

2. I paired the sweater with faded blue skinnies and funky zebra and leopard print pointy-toed shoes. Added a red scarf and carried a red sling bag which went well with the scarf. I also wore some antique gold earrings. I liked this outfit as well. There's a video on this here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CJuy_dUsYWg

How do you like the outfits? Which one is better.
