They refer to them as denim, but they don't feel like real denim to me--much more refined. Anyway, they stretch, but not a whole lot. I have purchased BR jeans before, and they definitely stretched. Mostly in the bum.<br /> There is a chance that mine had more stretch than some (they were the trouser jeans), but since they didn't stretch evenly going down a size wouldn't work. That way, if they don't fit the way you'd like for them to, you could return them.
