I wore the dress/shoes outfit in pics. We went out for a late lunch at a local Oyster bar. Every single woman in the restaurant was wearing flats or sneakers. The young woman at the table next to us was wearing a large suede hat., a navy blouse with little leopards all over it, light wash, high rise straight leg jeans-full length, with bright white Dad sneakers. But both sound like fab looks.&nbsp;</p> <p>I live in Belltown, and I'm AMAZED at how many women across all body types and ages are in wide crops, midis, relaxed high-waisted jeans (Mom Jeans), and high waisted skinnies - although skinnies are FAR less ubiquitous than they used to be.&nbsp;<i></i>I also see far fewer people in&nbsp; Athleisure. If I see a pair of high heels once a week - it's a lot. High-waist light-wash jeans, cream skinny belt, white lace top, white/cream cocoon cardigan, cream high-top converse, angled asymmetrical haircut -- platinum blonde overdyed a faded fuchsia color.</p> <p>This really stuck out to me because the top and cardi were a version of that "delicate top + fuzzy cardigan formula" I've been trying to play with for nights out. Note that she solved the <a rel="nofollow" href="https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/topic/help-me-figure-out-date-night-footwear">date night shoe problem</a> by going super casual. I liked that her outfit was all light tones (in contrast to the usual black that people tend to default to for evening). And her hair totally made the look. A really modern, trendy take on matchy-matchy.</p> <p>2. Black chelsea boots, black cropped leggings, olive knife-pleat midi skirt, black top, black head scarf.&nbsp;</p> <p>Minimalist and perfectly balanced. Impeccable fit and each piece she wore was very polished/perfect condition. Less to say about this outfit I guess because it is further from my own style but she looked amazing!!!</p> <p>No photos of my outfit either I'm afraid but I wore cropped raw-hem mid-wash jeans, a black scoopneck tunic sweater, gold ballet flats, gold jewelry (3-strand chain necklace, a pair of thin bangles, vintage Damascene fan-shaped earrings). Navy and white crossbody with brogue detailing. Lavender scarf for a bit of extra warmth later in the evening.&nbsp;It was a tricky night to dress for -- too cool for a sundress, too warm for a coat -- and I wanted to dress up a bit BUT we were going to a very casual, hipster-divey place for dinner so I didn't want to be TOO dressy.
